Delete your account
How to delete your FlightCatcherPro account and data, in the app or without it.
Delete in the app
The quickest way is from the FlightCatcherPro app on iPhone or Android, while signed in:
- Open the Hangar tab.
- Tap the … menu at the top right and choose Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Tick the confirmation box, then tap Delete account again.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@flightcatcherpro.com from the email address you use to sign in (the address on your Google or Apple account), with the subject "Delete my FlightCatcherPro account". Start the email for me.
We only act on requests sent from the account's own email address, so nobody else can delete your account. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, tell us your display name and we will ask you to confirm another way. We delete the account within 30 days of your request and reply to confirm when it is done.
What we delete
- Your sign-in account, profile, display name and avatar
- Your catches, catch photos, notes and locations, including catches shared to the Feed and the community map
- Your comments, likes, friends and friend requests
- Your XP, achievements, challenges, hangar expansions and other progress
- Your settings, spotting alerts, watchlists and push notification tokens
Account records are deleted immediately. Photo files and copies held in routine backups are removed within 30 days.
What we keep
Purchases
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first. Apple, Google and our subscription provider keep purchase records as the law requires for tax and accounting, which is usually up to 7 years.
Diagnostics and analytics
Crash reports and app analytics are not linked to your name. They expire on their normal schedule, at most 25 months.
Reports about misuse
If content from your account was reported, we may keep the report for up to 12 months to deal with abuse and meet legal obligations.
Delete some data, not your account
You can delete single catches and comments in the app at any time. For anything else, email support@flightcatcherpro.com. See the Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your data.
