1. Introduction
FlightCatcherPro ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the FlightCatcherPro app (on iOS and Android) and our website.
By using FlightCatcherPro, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
When you sign up for our waitlist, we collect your email address. This information is used to notify you about app updates and early access opportunities.
2.2 Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve our services. This includes:
- Page views and navigation patterns
- Form interactions and conversion events
- Button clicks and user engagement metrics
- Device information (anonymized)
This data is collected through Vercel Analytics and does not include personally identifiable information.
2.3 App Data
When you use the FlightCatcherPro app, we may collect:
- Aircraft identification data you collect in your hangar
- App usage statistics and gameplay data
- Device information necessary for app functionality
- Your approximate location when you log a catch, used to identify nearby aircraft and, if you choose to share a catch publicly, to place it on the map
- Your precise location while you use the map or camera, used to show and identify aircraft around you
- Your account details (name, email address and profile photo from the Apple or Google account you sign in with)
- Photos you take or add as catches, and the comments, likes and reports you post in the community feed
- A push notification token, if you allow notifications
- Crash reports, diagnostics and in-app usage analytics, including occasional recordings of app screens used to find bugs
- Your device's advertising identifier, if you watch an optional rewarded ad (see section 2.5)
2.4 Subscriptions and in-app purchases
FlightCatcherPro may offer auto-renewing subscriptions or other in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is processed by the store you buy through; we do not receive your full payment card number. Apple or Google may share limited transaction-related information with us as needed to provide access to paid features.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings (for example, Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device) or in the Google Play Store app (Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). For more help, see Apple's subscription and billing support or Google Play's subscription help. Their use of data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
2.5 Advertising
The app offers optional rewarded ads served by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, AdMob may receive your device's advertising identifier, your approximate location (derived from your IP address) and basic device information, which it uses to show, measure and limit ads. On iOS, the advertising identifier is only shared if you allow tracking. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads). See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
